It offers its services under Audacy and AmperWave brands. The company was formerly known as Entercom Communications Corp. and changed its name to Audacy, Inc. in April 2021. Audacy, Inc. was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On February 20, 2024, Audacy, Inc., along with its affiliates, filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
